Primož Roglič (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) crashed on the ultimate descent on stage 11 of the Tour de France.
The Slovenian got here down with 1.1km to go, on the best way to the end line in Le Lioran, and misplaced 55 seconds on the day.
The premature crash meant that he misplaced time within the total classification, and whereas he stays in fourth place within the GC standings, is now 2:45 behind yellow jersey Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates).
Roglič was a part of a chase group with rival Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep), each racing for third place on the day after being distanced from Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) on the ultimate climbs of the 211km stage throughout the rugged Massif Central.
Roglič crashed by way of a lefthand nook on the descent into Le Lioran with 1.1km to go. He slid throughout the tarmac earlier than getting again on his bike to proceed racing.
He crossed the road 55 seconds behind the stage winner, Vingegaard, and runner-up, Pogačar, whereas ending 25 seconds behind third-place, Evenepoel.
