Tim Merlier (Soudal-QuickStep) scored his second stage win in three days on the AlUla Tour, beating Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco-AlUla) in a two-man dash battle on stage 3 at Tayma Fort.
Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) rounded out the rostrum in a distant third place.
The two sprinters have been far forward of the remaining within the ultimate of the 181km stage after Merlier launched the dash early following a busy run-in. They launched from a decreased peloton after the group had break up to items within the desert crosswinds at 35km out.
