Anna Henderson (Visma-Lease A Bike) swept to the British elite ladies’s time trial title on Wednesday, finishing the 30km Catterick course in a time of 46:07.
Henderson, who gained the title again in 2021, averaged 39kph for her run to beat Claire Steels (Movistar) into second place by 33 seconds, whereas Elinor Barker (Uno-X Mobility) rounded out the rostrum in third with a time of 47:09, 1:02 down on Henderson.
25-year-old Henderson, who lately completed second on the Tour of Britain Women, was one of many final runners out on the course, and shot to the highest of the standings on the 15km checkpoint.
She was the one rider to report a time underneath 23 minutes there, together with her time of twenty-two:46 coming in 29 seconds up on earlier chief Steels. Over the second half of the course, she’d barely lengthen her benefit by three seconds to assert the recent seat.
Henderson would watch late runners together with Barker and Pfeiffer Georgi (DSM-Firmenich PostNL) shut out the race, although each ladies have been properly down on her time on the checkpoint, with Georgi ending up in fourth place with a time of 47:42, which means Henderson may have fun her title victory.
