Former Soudal-QuickStep CEO Patrick Lefevere was taken to hospital on Wednesday night after falling in poor health whereas having dinner at a restaurant.
The 70-year-old, who ran the QuickStep crew from its basis in 2003 till the top of final season, was taken to Gent University Hospital the place he spent the evening, in keeping with a report by La Derniere Heure.
Lefevere, who not too long ago attended Omloop Het Nieuwsblad with Soudal-QuickStep, remained aware through the incident and was taken to the hospital’s intensive care unit.
