Giro d’Italia Women: Neve Bradbury conquers Blockhaus to win stage 7 solo, Longo Borghini narrowly retains pink

Neve Bradbury (Canyon-SRAM) gained the queen stage of the Giro d’Italia Women, attacking with 9.4km to go on stage 7 to the Blockhaus and soloing to the end to take the most important victory of her profession to this point, additionally shifting onto the GC podium.

Maglia rosa Elisa Longo Borghini (Lidl-Trek) had Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx-Protime) on her rear wheel for the whole climb till Kopecky attacked with 300 metres to go.

Longo Borghini jumped to the World Champion’s wheel and held on, ending on the identical time. With 6 bonus seconds to Kopecky and 4 to the Italian, the hole between the 2 riders is now all the way down to just one second going into the ultimate stage.
