Chloe Patrick (Cynisca) received the criterium on stage 4 of the Tour of the Gila, out-sprinting stage 2 winner Marlies Mejias Garcia (Virginia’s Blue Ridge Twenty24).
Patrick benefitted from a lead-out from race chief and teammate Lauren Stephens, who celebrated one other day within the pink jersey.
Stephens has a 2:12 lead over Canadian Nadia Gontova (DNA Pro Cycling) heading into the ultimate stage.
“I used to be on Lauren’s wheel, she was simply guiding me across the pack. She simply has so a few years of expertise, I knew I may belief her,” Patrick mentioned. “I simply sat on the wheel, she took me the place I wanted to be, after which the final right away I simply opened it up and bought her on the line.”
