Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) went three from three in sprints on the UAE Tour Women as she received the ultimate stage of the 2025 race.
The Dutchwoman, who received phases 1 and a pair of, misplaced her lead-out within the closing kilometre however surfed the wheels to soar away from Sara Fiorin (Ceratizit) and Amalie Dideriksen (Cofidis) on the road at Abu Dhabi Breakwater.
A pile-up within the peloton marred the end to the pan-flat 128km route, which started at Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Academy on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi and travelled via town to complete on the waterfront.
Solo breakaway Elinor Barker (Uno X-Mobility) was caught by Wiebes’ SD Worx-Protime team-mates with 4km to go, organising the anticipated bunch dash.
It was an uneventful day for purple jersey Elisa Longo Borghini, who completed safely within the bunch to safe her second total title on the race, after victory within the inaugural version in 2023.
She was saved out of hassle by her UAE Team ADQ teammates on the ultimate stage, finally ending greater than two minutes forward of domestique Silvia Persico – who was third total in 2023 – and Kim Le Court (AG Insurance-Soudal) on GC.
