The United States claimed the gold medals within the cross nation staff relay within the UCI MTB World Championships in Pal Arinsal on Wednesday.
Christopher Blevins closed the hole on the French staff within the closing lap to deliver residence the rainbow jersey together with teammates Brayden Johnson, Nicholas Konecny, Haley Batten, Vida Lopez de San Roman, and Madigan Munro.
France held on for the silver medal simply three seconds behind with Italy ending third for the bronze medal, 1:31 behind the Americans.
Italy and France swapped the lead within the first laps whereas the USA made large strides halfway by means of the race with Haley Batten pulling the staff into third. Madigan Munro introduced the USA into second, keying up Blevins to make the ultimate push.
Blevins handed Frenchman Mathis Azzaro and claimed the slim win for the staff.
