France’s Paul Seixas produced a quick finale to say the Road World Championships junior males’s time trial forward of Belgian duo Jasper Schoofs and the longstanding provisional chief, Matisse van Kerckhove, who completed with silver and bronze.
Seixas accomplished the course a slender six seconds forward of Schoofs, with Van Kerckove only a second additional adrift. Australian William Holmes began strongly however light to fourth.
Soon to show professional with the Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale squad, Seixas has now claimed 14 victories in 2024, together with Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the Tour du Pays de Vaud and the Giro della Lunigiana in addition to the World’s title.
The 17-year-old calculated his effort completely on the flat, very simple 24-kilometre course beginning and ending in Zurich, beginning steadily earlier than ending rather more strongly, and he’ll now go to the junior males’s highway race later this week as a prime favorite.
More to come back…
