Matthew Brennan (Visma-Lease A Bike) sprinted to his second stage on the Volta a Catalunya from a decreased bunch after crosswinds cut up the peloton on stage 5.
Brennan displayed his dominance as soon as once more within the last dash in Amposta. Behind him, within the absence of Kaden Groves, it was Tibor Del Grosso who got here via in second for Alpecin-Deceuninck. Picnic-PostNL’s Pavel Bittner rounded out the rostrum in third.
An intermediate dash subplot noticed Juan Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) retake the chief’s jersey.
The Spaniard snatched a single bonus second to edge into the lead, only a second forward of Primož Roglič (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) heading into the decisive last weekend of the race. Enric Mas (Movistar) stays third within the total standings.
